The shop does not need an account, so we collect very little.

Who we are

Purpose Refined is the controller for the personal data described here. Questions go to hello@purposerefined.com.

What we collect

  • Checkout. Stripe collects the email address and payment details needed to take payment and deliver the product. We never see or store your full card number.
  • Delivery. When a payment succeeds, our server records the checkout reference and the email address Stripe provides, so we can send you the product and handle a refund.
  • On your device. Your browser stores the cart, chosen currency, and light or dark theme in local storage. That stays on your device. It is not sent to us.

We do not create customer accounts, and we do not use advertising or analytics cookies.

Why we use it

We use this data to take payment, deliver what you bought, handle refunds, and keep the records we need for tax and payment disputes. The lawful bases are contract, for the sale itself, and legal obligation, for those records. The GDPR page sets out your rights.

Who else sees it

Stripe processes payments for us and may process payment data outside the UK. Their safeguards are described in Stripe’s own privacy policy and data processing terms. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers.

How long we keep it

Stripe keeps payment records under its own rules and for as long as we need them for refunds, chargebacks, and accounting. Delivery records that include your email are kept only as long as we need them to deliver the product and resolve that purchase. Local storage remains until you clear it in your browser.

Children

The shop is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
